The Tennis Serve - How Important is It?
Written by Saspcruz

The serve is the most important foundation block of anyones tennis game, unless you are Dementieva! (smile. Just kidding.)

Statistically, about 60 to 65% of the whole game of tennis is serve and return, if you understand the importance of these figures, you will easily understand why professionals try to excel particularly in these areas.

When watching professional players it may give you the impression that all hit their serves flat and at a "zillion" miles per hour....consequently many of us, when in trouble with the serve, follow that rule with disastrous results.

Factors that lead to losing control of your serve, yourself and your game:

Learning From The Pros I
Written by Saspcruz

If you watch a professional player the most amazing thing about it is how easy he makes all shots look. Almost playful! Sometimes pros can even fool you into believing tennis is just a game.

Tennis players are great showmen and actors, they love to play for the gallery. Remember that silly shot Roger Federer played in between the legs at match point for himself to win the final against Marat Safin at the Australian Open 2005? How many choices do you think Federer had 4? 5? Yes, he did have several choices but he chose the worst, to play for the gallery! He lost the point and Safin ended up walking away with the title.

Tennis Excellence - Make It A Habit!
Written by Saspcruz

Tennis instruction:

Aristotle once said:

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."

If you carefully observe Roger Federer while on and off the court you will realize that everything he does or says is just perfect!

If you carefully observe Roger Federer while on and off the court you will realize that everything he does or says is just perfect! It seems unreal, for some people extreme or not "normal".

Anyone that is acquainted with success understands why. If you want to be the best you can be you have to set the standards bar pretty high and if you want to be better than anyone else on a given field, you have to achieve "excellence" at all times...and as Aristotle once said, not as an act, but rather as a habit.
