As with all volleys, on the tennis backhand volley you get best results if you keep it simple:
- Use the split setp at all times
- Take a very short backswing
- Keep a firm wrist at contact
- Step in has you hit the ball
- Sharp and short follow-through
- Keep moving through the shot
