Roland Garros Tennis Lessons - Jo-Wilfried Tsonga - bounce Smash!

In a demonstration of his varied and extensive shot repertoire Jo-Wilfried hits the bounce smash!

This is no easy task especial when the player is chasing a ball to the baseline and changes a defensive situation into an aggressive one.

In this video lesson Jo-Wilfried Tsonga shows us that he has very good co-ordinations and great spatial and aerial sense.

Why is this shot difficult to execute:

- The player is running to the back of the court in a standard forward motion.

- In motion slides to get into position and turns while hitting the reverse overhead smash.

- This highly developed court sense and co-ordinations.

- As your turn your spatial bearing rotate as well and shot control is challenging to say the least.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga does all of this with ease and succeeds to hit a decent enough smash to stave off his opponent from coming to the net or hitting a winner in the next shot.

This once again shows how good Jo-Wilfried athleticly is, plus the level of complexity and adaptability tennis players are subjected to in order to face and execute certain tasks.
